In order to obtain a visa to enter or remain in Australia, you must meet character requirements. If you are over 16 years old and have lived in Australia for 12 months or more in the past 10 years, you need to obtain an Australian Police Certificate (NPC) by completing a National Police Check application form.
When submitting an AFP (NPC) application, you must meet the following requirements. Failure to meet the requirements may result in your application being rejected.
- You must provide all other names you have used in the past (such as your maiden name or first name);
- You must ensure that all the details you enter are correct;
- You must ensure that you provide a total of 100 points of identity documents (electronic scans) in your application.
